Bandits Sign Sweeney, Wiles To One-Year Deals

The Buffalo Bandits have signed free agent Transition player Kyle Sweeney to a one-year contract.

Sweeney, who is entering his eighth season, played for the Philadelphia Wings for 6 and a half seasons before being released midway through the 2011 season. He finished the 2011 campaign with Edmonton.

Sweeney has 101 points (28 +73) in 105 career games in the NLL.

The Bandits also signed recently acquired Luke Wiles to a one-year deal. Wiles was traded for over the summer in a deal that a pair of draft picks to the Washington Stealth.

What a steal for Bandits. As a long time season ticket holder and fan I have seen Kyle Sweeney play and I think he would be a good addition to the team. This signing only makes a strong team stronger. Wonder what good player is going to be cut. 23 spots and 40 trying out with at least 30 of them having NLL experience.
