UPDATE: As it turns out, Lake Superior State University men’s hockey coach Jim Roque will not be joining Ron Rolston’s staff in according to the Buffalo News’ John Vogl and Kukla’s Korner writer Dave Davis who both spoke with Roque this afternoon.
This discredits an earlier report by Cap Carey of the Watertown Daily Times had said that Roque was joining the Sabres staff.
ORIGINAL: New full-time Buffalo Sabres head coach isn’t wasting any time when it comes to filling out his staff.
After deciding to keep Teppo Numminen on his staff and relieve James Patrick and Kevyn Adams of their coaching duties, Rolston has begun the process of adding new faces to his staff. The first new face is reportedly Lake Superior State University men’s hockey coach Jim Roque.

As the above tweet mentions, Roque worked with Rolston for four years at Clarkson University where they were assistant coaches under Mark Morris. They also worked together at LSSU in 1990.
The team has yet to officially announce the hiring, and no decision has yet to be made on the future of goaltenders coach Jim Corsi.
