Senior linebacker at The University at Khalil Mack has been named a third-team Preseason All-American by Phil Steele on Wednesday morning becoming one of two Mid American Conference players to be named to the team.

Mack (Fort Pierce FL), who decided to return to UB for his senior season and pass up the NFL Draft is sure to be a force for the Bulls this upcoming year.  Last season, Mack was named to the All-MAC first team for the second straight season racking up 94 tackles and 21 for loss which ranked him among the best in the NCAA.  He also recorded eight sacks and forced four fumbles.

Last season, Mack was also a postseason honorable mention All-American by Sports Illustrated and will look to better that this year.

He has two major NCAA records in sight as he comes into the season as he sits just 19 tackles for loss shy of the all-time mark and three forced fumbles away from that mark.
